The Tour Philippe le Bon (or Tower Terrace) of the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy in Dijon, Côte-d'Or is a classic style tower and Renaissance of the fifteenth century under the Duke of Burgundy Philip the Good.
Historical
This tower is 52 meters high and 6 storey was built between 1450 and 1460 by the architect Jean Poncelet, on an ancient tower known as Brancion (XII century) which itself was to be built on an ancient tower of a Gallo-Roman castrum.
A spiral staircase of 316 steps served the ducal house and ended up a pretty quadripartite vault of warheads falling on a spiral column and on pellets carved on the walls.
