The DHC Marina is a beautiful place to spend leisurely moments in Vietnam’s Da Nang city. The marina is comprised of the Love Bridge, Carp Statue, and the DHC Yacht.
The Love Bridge, which connects the two banks of the Han River, is reminiscent of other famous bridges like Italy’s Milvio Bridge, Korea’s Nam San Tower, and France’s Pont des Arts, which crosses over the Seine River in Paris. Having been inspired from these bridges, it is not surprising to see love locks or padlocks attached on the sides of it. There are also installations called trees of love located on the bridge. They are basically lamp posts that have a shimmery heart shaped lanterns located on the top, which look like hearts once lit. The statue of a carp fish transforming into a dragon, which reminds one of Singapore’s famous Merlion, is a 25 feet tall installation made of white natural marble here. It makes for an impressive sight.
The DHC Yacht is a superyacht that floats grandly on the Han River. It has five luxury floors, with a Skybar located on the topmost level from where one can get a beautiful view of the city’s skyline. Visitors can also enjoy a cuppa at the Molly Coffee shop inside the yacht. Walking around on the marina is a pleasurable activity, which also allows one to enjoy the beautiful river view and the nice breeze, especially once the sun has set down.
