Westerkerk is a Protestant church that was built in the city of Amsterdam, located in the Netherlands, around the year 1638. During this time, it was one of the biggest churches ever to be built in the entire world. It was even the place where famous Dutch painter Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was buried in 1669. To honor the painter, the church installed a plaque that was made for tourists and admirers to visit. The plaque lies next to one of the many pillars of the Westerkerk building. Even though the exact spot of his burial is unknown, tourists still love to come to the Westerkerk to pay their respects to the artist.
